THQ just released a trailer and press release for their upcoming UFC 2009 Undisputed coming Spring 2009.

You might have noticed that there were no health bars or HUD in the above video – much like Fight Night Round 3, you will be able to gauge your fighters health & fatigue just by looking at them, in fact UFC 2009 Undisputed boasts over 30,000 polygons per player model). Another you may have noticed that throughout the trailer and subsequent gameplay there was not one instance of a fist clipping through the opponents body. THQ suggested that glancing blows–made possible with the improvements to collision detection–will also play a prominent role in game. With around 9 months left until release let’s hope Yukes is able to apply the polish that this much anticipated release deserves.
