I recently downloaded the demo of Dark Void available in the Xbox Marketplace, earlier today I finally got around to checking it out. The story is pure sci-fi - you play as a pilot who crashes a plane somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle that finds you trapped in "The Void", described as a sinister parallel world of hostile aliens, powerful weapons and deep mystery. Electronic Arts is shutting down its Westwood-based game developer Pandemic Studios just two years after acquiring it, putting nearly 200 people out of work.
