Chrono Trigger fans unofficially remade parts of the game for PC with a custom 3D graphics engine (that would run on GameCube, PlayStation 2 & Xbox platforms). Chrono Resurrection was forcibly terminated by Square Enix by way of a cease and desist order September, 2004. SCEA president Jack Tretton has confirmed that the company has long term plans for PlayStation 3, playing down concerns over initial sales figures.
